up up and away!
Landon and i went to fort rucker Alabama to visit landon's sister and brother inlaw. jason is in the army and flys black hawks (how cool is that)while we were there we got to see him graduate from pilot school!!!
then we loaded up the kids and all their stuff, and headed back to texas!! we are so excited that jay and lanessa now live in texas again.

i know i haven't blogged in a few days...i have read the scriptures.
reading these verses 83 jumps out at me with more of a mental picture... i don't have much to say about it..I'm still pondering it. but it did want to post the verse.
verse 83
there's smoke in my eyes they burn and water, but i keep a steady gaze on the instruction you post. (the message)

for i am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do i not forget thy statutes (king james)

psalm 119:57-64
verse 62...i get up in the middle of the night to thank you; your decisions are so right,so true- i cant wait till morning!
i don't remember the last time i was this thankful and excited to get up in the morning.
i wanted to share something... yesterday the sermon at church was about spending time with God.- (just what i have been doing).i never thought about this but, the reason we SHOULD try and do our QT in the early morning is... that we are all alone and it makes attempts to interfere by the devil less. i never thought about that.after spending time in prayer we can gain the confidence to "walk on water". Jesus has a positive impact on those who pray and spend time in his word.

day 6 verses 41-48
happy memorial day weekend!!! hope everyone has a great time.
i'll try and keep this short and sweet..... i read verses 41-48 the one that stood out the most was..46.."then I'll tell the world what i find speak out boldly in public, and unembarrassed".
i feel i have a strong faith, I'm not easily tempted, I'm to afraid to brake the rules. this doesn't mean i haven't, but i really don't like too. lets just say i was totally the teachers pet in high school. i find myself more as a follower than a leader. example- in life group/cell groups im the one in the background listening to everyone views and opinions and only speaking and sharing mine when necessary. i was 20 when we started going to the church we attend, now im 23 and most of the people in our life group are older then me (not by much). sometimes i feel like if i say something and i say it wrong or in a weird way i will be looked down upon, like im just some kid. im afraid i may show my age. its kinda hard for me to make friends, but boy do i need them. anyway thats another story.
sooo my prayer for today is to become more bold in my faith and not so shy to share what i think with other Christians or non Christians.

today i took a look at few different versions, and i chose the new living translation. the verse that stood out to me was 37. " turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word." example- the other day a had put the kids down for their nap, and grabbed my bible and went into the living room to start my QT. the TV was on when i sat down....it was access Hollywood! i watched the whole thing! then the phone rang and i never did my QT. you can ask me anything about Jon and Kate plus 8 or Britney spears and i can give you all the details, but ask me about my quiet time or the verses i was supposed to read and i cant tell you much.
if someone ask you what you learned today, would you recite scripture, or something "worthless" from Access Hollywood? just something to think about.

oops!!!
we are really trying to get rid of the passy....gosh, its hard!!i haven't gotten out of the house in a few days now. feeling a bit crazy i search the house for something to do. ahhh....movies that need to be returned! i loaded up the kids and got out of the house. wow..it was great to get out, the kids enjoyed it too. we jammed to disney princess music..shhh don't tell Landon, he hates when i make Clayton listen to girl stuff like that. hahaha but he sure does love the little mermaid. shalalalalala.

again i read the NIV and the message both today. in these scriptures i think the psalmist is just feeling totally down on his luck, like it really couldn't get any worse. he is begging with God to show him his laws and commands so that he can follow them. in following his statutes he has faith that it will pull him out of his deep sorrow.
some times i think that when things go wrong in our lives we try to fix it every way we can and then when none of it works we say, "ok God, please can you help me out now. " when we should turn to him first instead of as our last resort. let us remember we can do nothing on our own.
God, help us to look to you when we are down. you are always there to lift us up.
